Checking Adobe Connect Speaker volume settings (person having issues hearing):
First, make sure the Speaker volume in Adobe Connect is turned up to high
Note that you should make sure that the volume in Windows or Mac OSX is also turned up before trying this. If you are using any headphones, speakers, or some other peripheral sound device, it’s volume should be turned up too.
To check this, click the arrow next to the speaker icon and then select Adjust Speaker Volume
A new window will appear that will show the speaker volume’s current level
If this is not set to high, slide it up to high and see if you can hear any better
Checking the Adobe Connect Microphone volume settings:
If the speaker volume is up all the way both in Adobe and Windows, have the other person check their microphone volume
First make sure the correct Microphone is selected in Adobe Connect
If you are using a headset, the computers built in microphone may have been selected by default. This can cause the volume to sound lower than it is.
Click the arrow next to the green microphone icon and select the correct microphone
Next check the microphone’s volume in Adobe Connect
Click on the arrow next to the green microphone icon in Adobe Connect and then select Adjust Microphone Volume
A new window will appear showing the current volume level of the microphone
If it is not set to high, slide it up to high and see if the other person can hear better
Note that your microphone is muted to the other person while the above window is open
Changing microphone volume in Windows settings:
Right click on the speaker icon on the bottom bar and select “Recording Devices”
A new window will appear. Make sure the correct microphone is set to the correct microphone (it will have a green circle with a check mark)
Right click on the microphone that you are using and go to properties
Another window will appear
Switch to the level’s tab and move the top slider all the way up
If this is too loud, you can always lower it back to a comfortable level
Now check back in Adobe Connect to see if the other person can hear you any better
