Profile Photo Guidelines

One of the first things you should do in your GLTEngage Teacher Profile is add a photo of yourself.
Here are some guidelines for your photo:
• Look professional, but friendly. Smile. Relax.
• Make sure your photo is clear and has good lighting.
• Be sure your photo is close-up, so learners can see your face, does not have a busy background, and that you are easily recognizable in the photo.
• Be sure your attire is modest and would not offend other cultures.
• Use a recent photo so you are accurately represented.
• Take multiple photos so you can choose the best one.
You should not:
• Use a photo taken at night.
• Use a photo that contains heavy filters or overlays.
• Use a photo containing other people, or a distracting background.
• Use a photo that is copyright protected, has a logo or watermark, or displays contact information.
Your profile photo must:
• Be in a JPG, GIF, or PNG format
• Be a maximum file size of 2MB
• Be at least 200 x 200 pixels, and no more than 400 x 400 pixels
• Show your face clearly and be a good representation of you
